The Turning Pointe family is excited to welcome dancers back into the studio for the 2020-21 season! Classes begin Tuesday, September 8th and run through Saturday, June 5th. Accepting Late registration through January 1st. This guide is intended to share our updated protocols to keep our dancers safe and healthy this year.

What safety measures is Michelle's Turning Pointe taking to ensure dancer health and safety?

•We will be frequently wiping down all high touch areas (barres, doors, equipment), along with additional cleaning and disinfecting of the studios.

•Smaller class sizes based on current space/capacity reccomendations.

•Dancers will be required to wear masks upon entering the facility, and when waiting inbetween classes in the common areas.

•Social distancing reccomendations will be followed during class.

•Dancers may wear a mask during class, but are not required to when actively exercising per the current state guidelines.

•At this point, all classes will be held in person so as to allow more focused instruction and proper technique.

What is the procedure for dropping off and picking up my dancer?

•Dancers under the age of 5 may have ONE parent/guardian wait in the lobby or observation room during their child's class. Masks will be required while waiting in the building.

•Dancers ages 6 -8 may have ONE parent/guardian enter the lobby 5 minutes before class to assist their child in getting ready for class. The parent may then wait in the car, and return to the building within 5 minutes of the end of the class to pick up their child and walk them to their car. Masks will be required while waiting in the building.

•Dancers age 9 and up must be dropped off and picked up from the studio while their parent/guardian waits in the car.

When should my dancer stay home from class?

•If your dancer is showing any symptoms of illness, please keep them home. Symptoms include:

•Fever or chills

•Cough

•Shortness of breath/difficulty breathing

•Muscle or body aches

•Sore throat

•Congestion or runny nose

•Nausea or vomiting

•Diarrhea

•Your dancer can return to classes once fever and symptom free for 24 hours without the assistance of medication.
